The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed regarding the high range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme sassa status check [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to the here lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support point made for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for your office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more assets to empower the servicing of all consumers and enhance access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
